Terms & Conditions

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the contest operated by:
Organizer: Amanstead Ltd.
Business Address: 2nd Floor, College House, Ruislip, London, HA4 7AE.
Property Location: Lincolnshire, full address will be confirmed to the winner.
Competition Name: “Solve the Puzzle. Unlock the House."
Effective Date: 01.02.2026]. 2 By entering, participating, registering, or attempting to enter (“Participant”), you agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

1. Overview and Competition Nature
1.1 Competition Type: This is a skill-based competition. The winner is determined solely by performance in logic and problem-solving questions using the scoring criteria set out in these Terms and/or the published scoring methodology.
1.2 No Element of Chance: There is no random draw, lottery, or chance-based selection used to determine the winner. Payment grants access to attempt the competition only and does not improve a Participant’s score or chances of winning.
1.3 Regulatory PositionThe Organizer intends this competition to operate as a lawful skill-based competition. Participants are responsible for ensuring participation is lawful in their jurisdiction. The UK Gambling Commission notes that skill competitions can be used commercially, but it does not approve competitions and expects operators to ensure they are structured lawfully.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Age: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) at the time of entry.
2.2 Geographic Eligibility: The competition is open to participants worldwide except: where participation is prohibited or restricted by local law; or where awarding or accepting the prize would be unlawful.
2.3 Excluded Persons: The following are not eligible to enter or win: employees, officers, and directors of the Organizer; agents, contractors, and professional advisers directly involved in the competition; immediate family members or friends of the owner (spouse/partner, parent, child, sibling) and household members of any of the above.
2.4 Legal Compliance: Participants are solely responsible for compliance with local laws, tax rules, and import/ownership restrictions (if any) in their country or jurisdiction.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Entry Method: To enter: Purchase one or more competition attempts via the official competition website -> Complete payment -> You will then be redirected (or provided access) to the puzzle/logic challenge. If access fails after payment due to a technical issue, you may contact the Organizer and we will provide a secure link to the puzzle after verifying payment in our records.
3.2 Attempts and Submissions: Each purchased attempt permits one submission, unless otherwise expressly stated by the Organizer.
3.3 Entry Confirmation: After payment, you may receive a unique code and/or confirmation email to access or verify your attempt(s). It is your responsibility to keep this code secure.
3.4 Incomplete / Invalid Entries: We may disqualify entries that are:incomplete; illegible; duplicate beyond permitted attempts; fraudulent; submitted using prohibited methods (including bots or automated scripts); ors ubmitted after the closing date/time.
3.5 Entry Window: Entries must be submitted before the advertised closing date and time. Late entries will not be accepted.
4. Skill Challenge, Scoring and Winner Selection
4.1 Nature of the Challenge: Participants will complete logic and reasoning questions, which may include: deductive reasoning problems, pattern recognition, analytical logic questions, and/orother objective problem-solving tasks.
4.2 Scoring Methodology: Entries will be scored using a predefined methodology, which may include:
‍a) Accuracy: Correct answers receive marks in accordance with the scoring rubric. Incorrect answers receive zero marks for that question unless otherwise stated.
‍b) Difficulty Weighting: Some questions may carry greater weight based on complexity. Weightings will be set in advance and applied consistently.
‍c) Time: Faster answers lead to better scores.
4.3 Judging / Verification Scoring will not be automated, it will be subject to manual verification, audit, and review by the Organizer and/or a judging panel to ensure fairness and integrity.
4.4 Winner Selection: The winner will be the eligible Participant with the highest valid score (and fastest valid completion time in the event of a tie, if time is a published tie-breaker).
4.5 Finality of Decisions: Subject to applicable law, the Organizer’s decisions (including scoring, eligibility, and disqualification decisions) are final and binding.
4.6 Transparency: The Organizer will publish the key scoring criteria and any tie-break rules before or at launch. The Organizer is committed to running the competition fairly and transparently.
5. Fair Play and Disqualification
5.1 Prohibited Conduct: Participants must not: cheat or attempt to manipulate the competition; use bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorized tools; collude with others to gain unfair advantage; submit false identity or payment information; exploit technical vulnerabilities; engage in abusive, unlawful, or fraudulent conduct.
5.2 Investigation and Audit
The Organizer may investigate suspicious entries and request reasonable evidence to verify eligibility, identity, and compliance.
5.3 Disqualification: The Organizer may disqualify any Participant or entry suspected of breaching these Terms or compromising the integrity of the competition.
6. Jurisdictional Restrictions and Compliance
6.1 Local Law Restrictions: Residents of jurisdictions where this type of skill-based competition or the awarding/receipt of the prize is unlawful are not eligible.
6.2 Sanctions / Compliance Screening: The Organizer may carry out proportionate legal and compliance checks (including sanctions screening where required) before awarding a prize.
6.3 Right to Refuse / Reassign Prize: If the selected winner cannot legally receive the property or cash prize, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify that entry and select the next highest eligible entry.
7. Prize Description
7.1 Main PrizeSubject to these Terms, the main prize is ownership transfer of a UK residential property in Lincolnshire (the “Property”). For privacy and security reasons, the full address may be disclosed only to the verified winner.
7.2 Cash Alternative: The winner may elect to receive a cash alternative of £200,000 (GBP) instead of the Property. The winner must choose the cash alternative within 7 days of being notified. Payment will be made in GBP. The Organizer may require identity and compliance checks before payment.
7.3 What Is Included / Excluded: Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the prize includes:title/ownership transfer of the Property alongside furniture, appliances and fixtures.
If you intend to include items (e.g., TV, fridge, table, sofa, bed, office setup), list them clearly on the competition page and legal pack.
7.4 Minimum Entry Threshold and Alternative PrizeIf the competition does not reach a minimum of 300,000 valid entries by the closing date, the Organizer reserves the right to award an alternative prize instead of the Property or cash alternative.
7.5 Alternative PrizeThe alternative prize will be a brand new iPhone (or equivalent model of comparable value), awarded to the eligible winner selected under the same skill-based scoring criteria.
7.6 No Transfer / Substitution by ParticipantPrizes are non-transferable by the winner, except as required by law. The Organizer may substitute an equivalent prize only where necessary for legal or operational reasons.
8. Winner Notification and Prize Claim
8.1 NotificationThe winner will be contacted using the contact details provided (typically email, and phone if provided) within 7 days of winner determination.
8.2 Response DeadlineThe winner must respond within 14 days of initial notification, or the Organizer may treat the prize as forfeited and select an alternate eligible winner.
8.3 VerificationBefore awarding any prize, the Organizer may require:proof of identity;proof of age;proof of eligibility/jurisdiction;any reasonable anti-fraud/compliance checks.
8.4 Property Transfer ProcessIf the Property is awarded, transfer will be handled through appropriately qualified legal professionals (e.g., licensed conveyancer and/or solicitor), and completion timings will depend on legal and administrative requirements.
9. Taxes, Costs and Expenses
9.1 Winner ResponsibilityThe winner is solely responsible for any taxes, duties, fees, or costs arising from prize acceptance and use, including (where applicable):stamp duty / transfer taxes,income taxes,capital gains taxes,legal fees,insurance,maintenance and utilities,local compliance costs.
9.2 No Tax AdviceThe Organizer does not provide tax or legal advice. Winners should obtain independent professional advice in their jurisdiction.
9.3 Organizer AssistanceThe Organizer may assist administratively with the transfer process where reasonably possible, but remains under no obligation to pay winner-side taxes or costs unless expressly stated.
10. Data Protection, Privacy and Cookies
10.1 Data ControllerFor the purposes of applicable data protection law (including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), the data controller is Amanstead Ltd. UK data protection in the UK is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact: info@amanstead.com
10.2 What Personal Data We Collect: We collect only data reasonably necessary to run the competition, which may include:email address; entry code / attempt identifier; puzzle score and performance data (including completion time if used as a tie-breaker);number of attempts purchased; payment confirmation/reference data (but not full card details); support communications; technical logs (e.g., IP address, browser/device info, server logs) where applicable; winner verification data (if selected).
10.3 No Card Data Stored by Us: The Organizer does not store full payment card details. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors under their own terms and privacy notices.
10.4 Purposes of Processing: We process personal data to: administer entries and access to the competition; score and verify submissions; prevent fraud, abuse, duplication, and manipulation; communicate with Participants (including support and winner notification); fulfil prizes and carry out verification/compliance checks;comply with legal and regulatory obligations; maintain website and service security.
10.5 Lawful Bases (UK GDPR) We rely on one or more lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6, including:contract (to administer your entry); legal obligation (for compliance, tax, accounting, regulatory and anti-fraud requirements); legitimate interests (to run a secure and fair competition); consent (where required, e.g., certain cookies or optional marketing). The ICO confirms that a valid lawful basis is required for processing personal data under UK GDPR.
10.6 Data Minimisation and Fair Processing: We aim to collect only the minimum data needed for the competition and to process it fairly, transparently, and securely in line with UK data protection principles.
10.7 Retention and 30-Day Deletion Policy
a): Our standard policy is to delete or irreversibly anonymise ordinary participant competition data (including email address, entry code, and score/performance data) within 30 days after the earlier of: the competition closing date; or final resolution of your entry/support query.
b) No payment card data is stored by the Organizer.
‍c) We may retain limited records for longer where reasonably necessary or legally required, including: winner verification and prize fulfilment records, property transfer / conveyancing records, tax or accounting records, fraud prevention or dispute resolution records, regulatory compliance records. The ICO’s storage limitation principle requires personal data to be kept no longer than necessary, while allowing longer retention where justified by lawful purposes.
10.8 Sharing of Personal Data: We may share personal data only where necessary with: payment processors; website hosting/cloud providers; form and quiz platform providers (e.g., Riddle.com); email service providers; legal advisers, conveyancers/solicitors, accountants, insurers; anti-fraud / identity verification providers (if used); courts, regulators, or law enforcement where required.
10.9 International Transfers: Because participants may be worldwide and some service providers may be based outside the UK, personal data may be transferred outside the UK. Where this happens, we will use appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law. The ICO provides separate guidance on international transfers and restricted transfers. 10.10 SecurityWe use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, taking into account the nature of the data and risks involved. The ICO’s security principle guidance requires proportionate security measures.
10.11 Your Data Protection Rights: Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to: be informed; access your data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict processing; object to certain processing; data portability (where applicable); withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent). The ICO lists these individual rights under UK GDPR. 10.12 How to Exercise Your Rights

We may request proof of identity before responding.
10.13 Response Times: We will respond to valid requests without undue delay and normally within one month, with lawful extensions where requests are complex or numerous. This aligns with ICO guidance on rights request time limits.
10.14 Cookies and Similar Technologies: We may use cookies and similar technologies for: essential website functionality, security, analytics (where enabled), user experience. Under PECR/ICO guidance: essential cookies may be used without consent where legally permitted;non-essential cookies require valid consent (where applicable); users must be clearly informed about cookie use.
10.15 Marketing Communications: We will only send marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so (for example, consent where required). You can opt out of marketing at any time. Service emails relating to competition administration may still be sent.
10.16 Children: The competition is not open to persons under 18. If we discover data relating to an ineligible minor entry, we may delete it and disqualify the entry.
10.17 Automated Scoring and ReviewAutomated systems may be used to record and score answers. We may apply manual checks and verification for fairness, fraud prevention, and prize awarding.
10.18 ComplaintsIf you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at info@amanstead.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
10.19 Privacy PolicyA fuller Privacy Policy may also be published separately on the website. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy will govern in respect of data protection matters unless stated otherwise.
11. Publicity and Winner Announcement
11.1 Publicity: Subject to applicable law, the winner agrees that the Organizer may use their name, likeness, and/or general location (e.g., country/county) for reasonable competition publicity and winner announcement purposes, without additional compensation.
11.2 Legal Restrictions: Where local law restricts publicity, the Organizer will act in compliance with applicable law.
11.3 Transparency: The Organizer may publish or provide sufficient winner information to demonstrate that a valid award has been made, subject to privacy and safety considerations.
12. Influencers and Affiliates
12.1 Compliance Obligations: Any influencer or affiliate promoting this competition must comply with: applicable advertising laws and standards; required disclosure obligations (including affiliate/paid partnership disclosures); these Terms and any campaign instructions issued by the Organizer.
12.2 No Unauthorized ClaimsAffiliates/influencers must not make statements about:odds or chances of winning, legality in all jurisdictions, prize details, deadlines or conditions, unless those statements are accurate and authorised by the Organizer.
12.3 Organizer Not Responsible for Third-Party Misstatements: The Organizer is not responsible for inaccurate or misleading statements made by third parties without the Organizer’s approval, but reserves the right to terminate their participation.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 Organizer Materials: All competition content, branding, website content, puzzles, logos, and materials are owned by or licensed to the Organizer and are protected by intellectual property laws.
13.2 Participant Submissions: To the extent any submission contains original material, the Participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce, and display that submission for competition administration, audit, and promotional purposes.
14. Website Availability and Technical Issues
14.1 No Uninterrupted Access: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or puzzle platform.
14.2 Technical FailuresWe are not responsible for delayed, corrupted, lost, or incomplete entries caused by:internet outages, platform failures, device/browser incompatibility,telecom issues, third-party service interruptions, provided that nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14.3 Abuse / Security: We may suspend access, block users, or pause the competition where necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
15. Limitation of Liability
15.1 General Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizer and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in the competition.
15.2 Scope: This includes (without limitation) losses arising from: technical failures, website downtime, unauthorized access, data loss, disqualification for breach of these Terms, delays in communications.
15.3 Non-Excludable Liability: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15.4 Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
16. Changes, Suspension or Cancellation
16.1 Right to Amend: The Organizer may amend these Terms or the competition process where reasonably necessary for: legal or regulatory compliance, fraud/security prevention, technical or operational reasons, force majeure events.
16.2 Fairness Principle: Any changes will not unfairly disadvantage Participants who have already entered, except where required by law, security, or fraud prevention.
16.3 Notice of Changes: Material changes will be published on the competition website and/or communicated by email where appropriate.
16.4 Cancellation / Suspension: The Organizer may suspend or cancel the competition where necessary due to legal, technical, security, or operational issues beyond its reasonable control.
16.5 Refund: We operate a no refund policy as the customer has access to the puzzle upon payment. Please reach out to us to explain your specific case if you feel you are due a refund.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
17.1 Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
17.2 JurisdictionSubject to any mandatory rights you may have in your country of residence, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the competition.

1: How the Competition Works (Skill-Based Logic Challenge) This competition is a skill-based logic challenge. The winner is determined solely by: logic, reasoning ability, problem-solving accuracy,and (if needed) speed as a tie-breaker. There is no random draw and no chance-based selection.
2. What “Skill-Based” MeansA skill-based competition is one where: outcomes are determined by the Participant’s ability, correct answers can be objectively identified or scored using a published method,the same scoring approach is applied to all Participants.
3. Types of QuestionsQuestions may include:deductive reasoning, pattern recognition, analytical logic, numerical/relationship reasoning, other objective logic puzzles.
4. Scoring
4.1 Accuracy: Correct answers receive marks; incorrect answers score zero unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Weighting: Some questions may carry more marks than others based on complexity.
4.3 Tie-Breaking by TimeIf scores are tied, completion time may be used as a tie-breaker. Time is only used when scores are equal.
5. No Random Selection: No draw, raffle mechanism, or chance-based process is used to choose the winner.
6. Example (Illustrative): If five machines take five minutes to make five items, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 items? Answer: Five minutes.
7. Verification and Integrity: Entries may be checked using automated systems and/or manual review. We reserve the right to audit entries to maintain fairness and competition integrity.
8. Equal Treatment: All Participants: receive the same challenge format, are subject to the same scoring criteria, receive no advantage from payment beyond access to attempt the puzzle.
9. Disqualification: Participants may be disqualified for: cheating or attempted manipulation, use of bots/automation, prohibited external assistance (where disallowed), identity fraud, multiple submissions beyond permitted attempts, conduct that undermines competition integrity.
10. Transparency Commitment: We aim to disclose: the key rules, scoring method, prize conditions, deadlines, and eligibility restrictions clearly before entry.
